Getting Pummeled!!!

Irene is here and we're getting bitch slapped like you wouldn't believe! Trees are getting bent to the ground and projectiles are flying through the air but we’re fine here in New Hampshire.

We’re receiving more rain then I have ever witness but since we live on the side of a mountain we’re staying high and dry.

You can’t see across the front yard for all of this…….

Mister man has our canoe primed and ready just in case.......

and Dylan dog would rather be outside chasing whatever floats his way......

He’s really hoping he won’t be doing any of this unless he chooses too.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…BLOGGERS ROCK! I’ve received so many kind and concerned emails making sure we’re ok. Each and every one of you is truly a gift and I thank you. We’re staying inside and avoiding windows but we’re fine.

I hope all of you have a safe, dry and Happy Sunday!

  1. Dear Debra,
so good to hear that you're safe were you live!
    I'm rather concerned!

Hopefully all will be over by Monday, not too many tree dammages and Dillon can chase what ever he likes, bones (UHHPS)and.....
Great photos and keep your good sense of humour!

  2. Sorry, I mean DYLAN! Terrible with remembering names! Mixing even Oskar with Ron every so often.

  4. Hi Debra - I'm glad you and everyone in your house are okay. The wind has been incredible and lots of rain, but I don't think it's a bad in Boston as it is in NH and west of Boston.

  6. Glad to hear you're all safe and dry Debra. I was wondering if y'all were taking a beating at your place?

That shot of Dylan with the bubble is pure magic!! How ever did you capture that?!...Makes ME want to frame it! *winks* Vanna

  8. Debra, I'm so sorry...I didn't even think you lived near harms way. I've been praying and checking on those that I knew might be in danger. Leave it to you to make a fabulous post out of this. That precious Dylan. I sure hope he doesn't have to swim. and Mr. Man is always on top of things. So glad that you guys are ok.

  9. I garnered from your post on my blog that you are all safe and sound but oh my, I couldn't help but worry--especially with all of the trees that are so close to your home and studio.

    Hoping there wasn't any damage!
    Bisous!

  11. So glad to hear you're ok!! We got slammed here in CT. A large limb of a beautiful old apple tree fell on our house and another fell and blocked the driveway. Luckily there was no damage but we are still without power with no end in sight. Trying to say hello around the blogosphere while my iPad still has some juice!

I hope it was awful when you opened your front door the next morning. We were so lucky, nothing like Isabel a few years back!

  14. I am so glad you're fine and in a safe place. I remember telling a friend who lives in a hurricane region, "How do you deal with that? And she says to me, "You guys have earthquakes! I would be nervous the whole time!"
Hugs to you. Fabulous photos. That one with the canoe, OH!

  15. I am so glad to hear that you all came through the storm without any problems. I am amazed you have electricity! I remember seeing so many of your photos with all the beautiful trees...I hope none were down and your home free of damage. I read your post early in the morning but didn't have time to leave a comment. I was so happy to know you were all safe. XO

  16. Hey Debra! Sorry about the creepy dolls! Lol! I realize they're not everybodys cuppa latte *winks*
Glad you liked the beadwork piece. I paid $25 and I know I did good! I have a couple of the beadwork display plateaus also, and I paid a good deal more for them.
I hope the weather has let up for you and the damage wasn't too severe?
And to answer your question, my husband is a tinkerer (can fix anything) so he loves to collect parts of things...bicycle...car...watches..as well as batman and toy garbage trucks. My husband is the best kind of quirky! Vanna

  17. Debra..hope you are OK! We just got internet back last night and its been quite an eventful 4 days but now that I am reconnected via TV and internet I was dumbfounded to see how badly Vermont and NJ got it. So hoping all is fine with you. Dylan is sooo cute! Reminds me so much of Teddy. Here there were just tons of downed trees which meant outages everywhere, there are still about 200,000 people on Long Island without power..it wreaked quite a havoc on everyone Irene visited. Be well...
