Fall with Tina over at The Enchanted Home

Who of us doesn’t love autumn and all that it offers? Tina over at the enchanted home  has invited me over today to share what I love most about fall.

I can’t get enough of the rich jewel toned colors……

Or kicking back with a bowl of homemade soup made with squash out of our own garden. If you would like to see more of things I love about fall ahead on over to

I hope you all are doing really well and enjoying the season!

Fall has a very sad beauty to it. You live through these glorious days filled with colors, warm sundays, knowing that they only are a tease to what is ahead of us...

Debra..thanks for such a beautiful post and a great and pretty reminder of what makes fall so magical. I loved seeing cute Dylan as part of the landscape, the foods have me hungry and the vistas took my breath away! I think I need to find me some cashmere pants! I used to have a pair many moons ago (a friend gave them to me for my birthday) doubt they still fit but I could always look for them and MAKE them fit:) Agree, doesn't get more comfy than those! Enjoy your day and thanks for sharing your perfect fall day over on my blog!

Beautiful post over at Tina's Debra! My birthday is mid September too (and so are my two brothers..all three of us were born on the same day, different years!.. crazy right?) I also share your love for dogs and cashmere stockings/pants. I wear them all the time in the winter. Wonderful fall images Debra and thanks for sharing!

Hi Debra,
When I visited Massachusetts some years ago, I was convinced that I must have been born there and that my parents adopted me and brought me to California. It's such a beautiful part of the country. I like all the reasons for loving fall that you've shared!

My garden is looking forward to the kind of rest it can only get in Winter. I have been busy tucking it in and making sure it has everything it needs for the long nights ahead.
Then...I can work on the house!
Hoping you are well...

Kisses to Dylan Dog and Kitty,

Hasn't the past week been glorious??? Indian summer!!!
I love the smell and sound of leaves as you walk thru the woods in the fall. The quiet sound of the birds, so different than their urgent songs of spring time. Everything seems like it's getting ready for a long nap...

Love the golden hour in the morning and evening. Perfect for picture taking!

Cheers,
John

Hello Debra!

How are you? Are you bracing for the crazy storm that they keep saying is coming up the East Coast? Hopefully all of your preparations are finished!

Hopefully work is not keeping you crazy busy!

Take care, Elizabeth

Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns said...

Hello Debra,

Thank you for your comments today, it is always so hard when our parents of family get old.

I hope you are ready for the storm, it is crazy here...lots of rain and wind.

Be safe, Elizabeth

Leslie said...

Debra,

Hope you are all hunkered down and ready for the storm headed your way. Because we live in the mountains here in WA state, we get a few few bad storms a year resulting in significant snow fall and extended power outages. We finally broke down and bought a small generator and it's made all the difference. Hopefully the storm will move quickly and not do too much damage.

Debra,
I totally want you and Dylan to come over and play with me and Remy...actually I much rather come to your house in this time of year and sip cider and watch our goof ball dogs roll on their backs!

Off to Tina's
