Breathing a deep sigh.....

Hello everyone! I know I’ve been MIA for the past month but things have been a little hectic and unfortunately until work was done my blog had to take a back seat. I hate it but there is only so much time in a day and I’ve missed everyone!

As you can see the snow is gone and in its place we’ve been rewarded with new life.

I love this about spring and how everything wakes up and gives us a show.

The lily-of-the-valley is just starting to put on their show.

Lucky us we have fields of Lily-of-the-valley I wish they stayed around longer. If you’ve never smelled what a large field of these flowers smell like then you’re missing a real treat. They’re heaven sent the smell is so clean and light.

Thanks to all the snow/water we received this past winter we’re going to get a bumped crop of pears…..

And peaches, I guess there are some rewards to receiving so much snow. Last year was so dry our fruit trees didn’t bud out so we’re doing a happy dance this year.

Even our crabapple tree is about to get showy, everything is jumping to life and I love it.

I want to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Mother’s Day. I wish I could give you all a big bunch of lily-of-the-valley, enjoy your special day!

I’ve missed you all and can’t wait to get caught up with your blogs. Be well and have a wonderful week!

Spring looks beautiful in your area, I am in love with your carpet of lily of the valley! They are my favorite flower and I enjoy any opportunity to have a bunch.

I hope you have a wonderful day with Dylan, as I will with my pup.

Take care, xx Elizabeth

I just bought my FIRST LILY OF THE VALLEY plant Saturday!Do you know I have never smelled Lily of the Valley!I read somewhere Blog most likely about how fragrant they are and the fact they like shade, which I have too much of so I went on a mission to smell it at neiman Marcus only to find it mixed in with other scents! They did not have a plain fragrance.........!!So, I bought just one plant as thats all the nursery had!I know I need more.............welcome back and do pop over to my garden I should be posting the backyard today!

Dear Debra, I'm green of envy!!! Seeing that you're surrounded by thousands of lily's-of-the-valley! My absolute favorite May flowers. When I was a young girl I went to the forests to pick big bunches, especially for Mother's day. And you just have to step-out and are in the middle of all these beautiful "Maigloeckchen" (that's how we call them in German, little May bells)
Wonderful post! Happy Spring and May to you, to Mister and to Dylan,

Debra,
I love lilies of the valley and have promised myself I'll plant some next year. You are so fortunate to have a field of them. The fruit tree blossoms look beautiful and how fun to watch them develop fresh for the picking fruit.
Glad you're back.

Debra,
I need to follow your lead and blog off and take care of some business. I think I spend way too much time in blog land but then again, I feel so blessed to have so many blog friends.

Enjoy all that beauty. Time in nature is transformative.
The seasons are all incredible - but I know how happy you are to welcome spring.

It was so good to hear from you!~ I love this post and certainly understand about being MIA~ I keep blaming it on a writer's slump but I truly am just overwhelmed! For the first time ever I didn't even go to a very important dinner with my husband for his work tonight…I just simply couldn't! I'm so glad you are back and I always love your sweet comments~ Love all of the pictures of your beautiful plants, trees, etc!!!

Hi Debra - Thanks for visiting. It's amazing how one day it is snowing and the next the leaves are on the trees. It seems to happen so fast. Life is like that, I guess. Good to "see" you again.

Dear Debra I have also been remiss!
When I was a girl my Mother had Lilies of the Valley all along the north side of our home. I love them!
The peach blossom, so delightful knowing what a luscious fruit it will become!
