I'm Back and Thank You!

Sorry I’ve been so quiet the past week or so but Mister Man felt the need to share his cold from H-E-L-L germs with me and I’ve been laying low mainly because I didn’t have a functioning brain cell. I’m hoping it’s on its way out of my system so I can get back to my life and blogging.

During the holiday Season I was lucky enough to win not one but two fabulous giveaways. The first a beautiful book from Trinidad, Martin and Johan over at Atelier de Campagne Antiques from the French magazine Jeanne d’Arc Living called French Atmospheres.

If you haven’t seen this book yet don’t wait rush and find a copy on the Internet, sorry I looked and it isn’t available on Amazon. It’s filled with beautiful French images sure to make your heart swoon. Thank you guys I love the book!!!

The Second giveaway I won was a fabulous French giveaway with not one but four treats!  Caroline over at Boho Farm and Home blog is always hard at work around her urban farm and if you’ve never visited her do so you’re in for a treat.

Two of the items she sent along was Boho Farm Rose Jelly made by Caroline from her very own tea roses and is all organic …love that. I even tried it on my pancakes this morning and if Caroline shares this jelly may I say BUY SOME! The second item in my box was some Kusmi Christmas Tea and I’ve been drinking that all last week thanks to my bad cold.

Another item in my box was a French Azure Urn Tea Towel, nice and big and in my colors since I use green in my kitchen as the only accent color.

Last but not least was this fabulous book by Kathryn Ireland called Summers in France She has a wonderful laid-back way of styling beautiful things and it’s full of helpful tips. Reading and looking at the pictures in this book makes me want to own my own home in the French countryside. Thank you Caroline I truly do appreciate everything you sent!

Now I need to ask for your HELP!

I wantedo let you know that blogger seems to be acting up here and there and I’ve been unable to leave comments for some of you. I’ve tried over and over and the screen goes white and doesn’t come back on. So if anyone else is having this problem and knows how to fix it I would appreciate the heads up.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and stay well!
Debra~

What wonderful gifts; you really scored!

A few people have also told me they've had problems leaving comments on my blog but they come back later and it's okay. I had a few problems with Blogger hanging up or freezing when I tried to open a site but not necessarily commenting. Not sure what that is.

Glad you're feeling better. It's been two weeks for me and I'm not totally symptom free. It's very strange.

Hi Debra,
First of all I hope you feel better soon! Secondly it may be your computer because that never happens to me on my mac, and third of all, thank you so much for your sweet comment and advice on the winter blues. I am going to do research and find out about those lightbulbs!

you lucky winner - those things are great. feel better - and YES! I'm having the same problems. not with commenting but with screens 'whiting out' on me when I try to view blogger blogs. seems to do that when I click from my blog roll on to the title of daily posts. BUT it works OK when I click on to the name of the blog. Does that make any sense? Try it and I hope it helps. your friend, donna

Hi Debra, Glad you're feeling a little better.

I had to change my comment settings from "Imbedded" to "Full Page". Or you can choose "Pop Up". Google is supposed to fix the problem. Until then, you might try the above. Gina

Well....so sorry to hear your been battling a monster cold. My son has a cough that would scare a bear and won't go away. Kept him home from school...but the doctor said, "he's fine". Great.

Now...to your give away winnings. You swept up! What lovely, lovely items. That book is a must.

Welcome back...and I haven't noticed the comment issue, but like the suggestion from Gina above.

Here's to a healthier week!

Congrats on winning such fab prizes and I'm glad you're feeling better. I have the Summers in France book and love it, will now look for the more elusive one. Yes, Blogger did some enhancements that didn't quite work out... my understanding is that they're working on getting the bugs out of it.

I have a penchant for beautiful décor books and these both look fabulous! I'll have to look for them. I have been trying to make it to the bookstore forever. Feel better... lots of chicken soup. Make Mr. Man wait on you since he gave you the cold! hee hee

Wow, I'm sure those beautiful giveaways were just the thing to perk you up. I also have problems with commenting from time to time. If I persist, it seems to work eventually, but one doesn't always have the time to keep at it. x Sharon

Hello Debra! We are sure glad you liked your gift! And also glad you are felling better. We also got some of that nasty flu that was going around during the holidays and now poor Johan is in the middle of it back home in Belgium. Both Johan and Martin send their regards. We'd like to remind folks that we have the book French Atmospheres available, so they can follow our link to contact us.

Hi Debra,
So glad your feeling better. I have had some problems with blogger, but not that one. I have not been able to leave comments on some blogs and they haven't been able on mine. I also went to add a photographers name onto an old post and the whole post disappeared. It was one of my favorites. If you know how to retrieve posts let me know. I am going to have to go and look at both of those books. Katheryn is one of my favorite designers.

Atlier de Campagne-love them-that is whole lot of French beauty to enjoy!

I too have had difficulties commenting and also viewing blogs through reader...idk?!

Hi Debra!
So glad to hear you're feeling better....Hopefully all your lovely wins will balance out the karma? *winks* Oh my goodness those books look wonderful!
I had the same issues with comments...getting white screens etc. I downloaded google chrome and haven't had a problem since. I've found this helpful on multiple occasions when MSN has been glitchy. So anyhoo you can use one or the other, you can pick and choose... (If that makes sense?) Vanna

Looks like you got some great giveaways..love the idea of the jelly and the tea...glad you are feeling better. Blogger has been playing up similarly for me and I have just tried to revisit sites later or emailed my comment..too many internet issues lately and so I have just decided to be more patience although it is frustrating and time-consuming. I am sure they must be aware of the problem and hopefully will resolve it soon.

Debra,
Double whammy right, being sick and then not being able to leave comments is not my idea of fun....but winning those beautiful goodies would certainly make it a bit less so.
Hope you are feeling better and that google has corrected the problem. I read about a black out day last week somewhere.
I am going to be doing a give-away soon...still working on it.

Debra,

I had this very same bug...I felt exhausted for at least two weeks after. It is crazy! I hope that you are feeling better. Make sure to get as much rest as you can, it seems like the only cure.

The books are fabulous! I love a beautiful design book and if it is French even better!

Thank you for your kind thoughts and moments. Hope you have a great day. Get well soon.

Dear Debra,
I do hope that Mr. Man is feeling better and it looks like your brain is 'working' again :)
Otherwise - welcome to "the club"!
Our house is like a hospital ward, with Oskar's broken leg, Mr. B's treatment, my flu and a computer bug!

Congratulation for all the goodies you've recieved, you definitely deserve it!
Beautiful images and a very lovely post!
Keep warm and well,
best wishes xxxkarin

Sorry for late comment, but just today our main computer is somewhat working again. Waiting for the PC doctor who took my 'crashed-down' laptop to repair or so.....

By the way - forgotten to ask - can I see a German grain sack in your images?

And sorry, cannot help with your comment-problem. It looks like there is a nasty bug infecting several systems throughout the world.

Oh Debra, I hope you are feeling better. Be sure to take it easy for a while because it comes back on you, which is what happened to me. I'm fine now but still dragging in the energy department.
Yes, Blogger was having problems but they are clearing up now. I experienced the same thing while trying to leave some comments. I just kept trying and things seem to be finally working now. Continue to feel better and congratulations on all your lovely winnings.

Poo Poo for the cold....Yea for the winnings.....lucky. I have only one one thing in all my tries and the only reason I won was because there were only 3 people who entered...so my chances were pretty good.
